How to put orders "On Hold"

Learn how to put an order on hold, keeping inventory aside but not affecting order payment or processing status.

In some situations, it is helpful to have the option to place an order on hold within your admin. This is purely an organizational status which you may choose to use, and has no affect on the order's payment or processing status.

From inside any expanded order in the system, you can quickly and easily toggle an order to "On Hold" by clicking the Toggle Hold button. Click the button once to place the order on hold, and click the same button to remove it from hold and return it to its former order status.

Note: Placing an order on hold moves that order into the On Hold status tab, where it can be handled by customer support.
