Inventory > Import Tab Overview

The Import Tab is where you will go to locate products in our catalog and import them directly into your admin via the Browse Categories Tab or Search Products Tab.

Browse Categories Tab:

The Browse Categories Tab will allow you to search up products to import from our master catalog by searching the master catalog’s categories.

1.) Use the search field to narrow your category search by a specific word or phrase.

2.) Select a parent category, and/or a destination category to import products from.

3.) Now that you have a destination category selected, you can either select “apply search” to search for everything located in that category, or you can use the filters on the left to find a specific group of products based on the product’s description.

Notes: The search limit is 500 products, and if the category you are attempting to import from has more than 500 products, you will need to import for that same category again to obtain the remaining products.

4.) Select the products you are wanting to import by either clicking the green plus symbol, or using the “Add All” button.

Notes: If you ever need to remove products queued up for import, you can remove them by clicking the red X symbol, or remove all queued up products by click the “Remove all” button.

5.) With the products queued up to import, you can either create a new category to import the products into, or pick an existing category to import these products into.

Notes: The create category option is to create a category under an existing parent category. If this is a new game line you did not carry in the past. You may need to create a product type and parent category first.

6.) Click the import button below, to queue up the import.

Notes: If you are missing necessary descriptors, an error message will be displayed at the top of the screen clearly showing you what descriptors need to be added into the product type before an import can take place.

Search Products Tab:

The Search Products Tab allows you to search by a product name. It will browse the entire catalog and pull up all applicable products, regardless of what category they are contained within.

1.) Use the search field to search for a product or category, then click search.

Notes: The Search Products Tab has a "ADD ALL FROM" option underneath the Product's Name. After searching up products, you can use the “ADD ALL FROM” to add all of the products from the same category that are displaying within your search results.

2.) Locate the products you are wanting to import. You can either individually add them by clicking the green plus symbol, or add all of the displayed products by clicking the “Add All” button.

Notes: If you ever need to remove products queued up for import, you can remove them by clicking the red X symbol, or remove all queued up products by click the “Remove all” button.

3.) Now that the products queued up to import, you can either create a new category to import the products into, or pick an existing category to import these products into.

Notes: The create category option is to create a category under an existing parent category. If this is a new game line you did not carry in the past, you may need to create a product type and parent category first.

4.) Click the import button to queue up the import.

Notes: Unlike the Browse Categories Tab, if you import using Create a New Category in the Search Products Tab, it will automatically add those descriptors to the product type of the parent category. We suggest extra caution when using this to prevent product types from obtaining descriptors you do not want them to have.
