What is it?
A banner is a graphical image which can be displayed on your website to draw attention to important information or products. Banners are available in a variety of sizes, shapes, locations, and additional features. Below, a few examples of banner spots are highlighted in pink.

What are the features and options?
CrystalCommerce offers a variety of banner types. Features and options may vary depending on the type of banner(s) that are installed on your website.
Generally, banners include the ability to:
change the banner image and link via your admin
link to pages, categories, search results, external sites, and more
set automatic dates for the banner to show and hide
choose specific pages to hide from or show on (only applies to some banner locations)
Some banners may include:
overlay text
button overlays
associated text blurbs
and miscellaneous other features
How do I use it?
Following are the most basic steps for using banner spots. For additional information, see the “Related Articles” section at the bottom of this page.
Confirm with your designer or account representative that the banner has been installed on your website (if it’s not part of the default website configuration)
Navigate to the page on your website that should contain the banner spot
Use the “mytags” feature to determine the proper tag name and banner dimensions
Create your banner image according to the correct dimensions, or select from our variety of free banner images which are conveniently created in standard sizes by our professional design team
Sign in to your website admin
Go to the banner manager category and either edit an existing banner, or create a new banner
