Paypal Express Setup

Setup your PayPal account to accept PayPal Express Checkout and PayPal Credit.

The Paypal Express checkout option can be completely setup through the admin. If you do not have a Paypal account, or a Business Paypal account, you can sign up through the Admin. If you already have a Business Paypal account, you can skip to the section on associating an existing business account.

Signing up for a New Paypal account / Upgrading an existing Personal account to a Business account:

 1. In the Crystalcommerce admin go to Account > Payments

Under Supported Checkout Options, mark the Paypal Express

checkbox, and unmark the Paypal Standard checkbox.

2. Under Paypal Express click Sign up or Sign In to your Paypal Business account.

3. Enter your email address.

4. Enter your business information, and set a password for your Paypal account.

5. Fill out the type of business you have

6. More business information

7. Enter your Personal Information.

8. Once you hit submit, everything is sent to Paypal, your account is created, and integrated with the CrystalCommerce platform. You will want to log into your email account to confirm the account sign up process with Paypal.

Associating an Existing Paypal Business Account:

1. Force shipping address match
Enable this setting to ensure Seller Protection on your orders. PayPal only offers Seller Protection if the customer's shipping address is the same in two places: in the order info in your admin, and in the PayPal payment. If you choose to disable this setting, your PayPal Express orders may not have seller protection.
Disable PayPal Standard and enable PayPal Express above.

2. In the Crystalcommerce admin go to Account > Payments

Under Supported Checkout Options, mark the Paypal Express

checkbox, and unmark the Paypal Standard checkbox.

3. Under Paypal Express click Sign up or Sign In to your Paypal Business account.

4. Enter your email address.

5. Enter your password, and click Log In

6. Give permission to CrystalCommerce.

7. You’ve successfully authorized CrystalCommerce
