Red vs. Green Order Payment Rectangle

Understanding your Admin and payment colors.

The Crystal Commerce admin programmatically double-checks to make sure payment confirmation was successfully received for your order, regardless of the payment method. If the payment amount is red, it is likely that one of the following has occurred:

For Credit Card payments:
1. The payment has arrived, but has not been captured yet. Expand the order and click the Capture button in the Payments and Coupons box.

2. The payment confirmation has not arrived yet, or failed to arrive.

To verify: If you expand the order and do not see a capture button, log in to your Authorize.net account and search for the customer name or order number. If you can verify that the payment was received and the payment amount is correct, you may process the order as usual.

For PayPal Payments:

  1. The payment has been received, but the handshake between the admin and the The order will The please login to Paypal or Authorize.net to confirm payment was received. A Red payment amount almost always means a failed payment, please manually confirm. It might be appropriate to contact the customer and re-acquire their payment for the order.

2. The payment has not been received. A user added items to his cart and went through the checkout process on your website, selecting PayPal as the payment method. When this user was redirected to PayPal's website to complete the payment for this order, they did not complete the payment. This order should be voided.

​To verify: Log in to your PayPal.com account, and search for the customer name or order number. If you can verify that the payment was received and the payment amount is correct, you may process the order as usual.
