In various places across the CrystalCommerce admin, a text editor (called a WYSIWYG editor) is present to allow the user to create and modify content. Places where you might encounter the WYSIWYG are:

  • Product Description

  • Site Pages

  • News Posts

To create a link using the WYSIWYG editor, you will need:

  • Text that you would like to turn into a link

  • A URL that you would like to link to

To create your link, follow these steps:

  1. While on the page you would like to link to, copy the full URL (Internet Address) in the URL box of your browser.

2. Back in your admin (in the WYSIWYG editor), highlight the text that you would like to turn into a link.
3. In the toolbar of the editor, click the link button, which looks like three links in a chain.

4. Clicking that button will cause a pop-up to appear. In the pop-up, enter the URL you copied from step 1 into the "Link URL" field.
5. Press "Insert"

You have created a link! When a user clicks the link that you have just created, they will be taken to the URL that you specified.
