For stores that have a physical location, it can be helpful to your customer to offer in store pickup as an alternative to paying for shipping. If you would like to offer an option for your customers to come to your store and pick up orders they have placed online, create that option by following these steps:

  1. Go to your Account > Shipping page.

  2. Next to the save button at the bottom of the page, click the "Create New" link.

  3. Set the Carrier Name to whatever you would like. This will be the subheading in your checkout.

  4. Set the Service Name exactly as it appears here: In-Store Pickup

  5. Save this new shipping option.

Setting the Service Name exactly as it appears in this article is imperative. The Pickup tab on your orders page looks for shipping methods with the exact text string "In-Store Pickup". You can add additional text if you with, but that exact phrase must be present, or the orders may show up with the normal online orders instead of the pickup tab.

To ensure that your In-Store Pickup option is only available to customers in your state/nearby states:
1. Click on the "edit" link next to your In-Store Pickup option.
2. Click on the "New Row" button on the bottom of the page. With this field, you can restrict the countries and states that will be able to see this shipping option. For U.S. and Canadian customers, simply use the appropriate two letter abbreviation code.

To use the Pickup tab to filter In-Store Pickup orders from all other orders:

  1. Click on the "edit" link next to your In-Store Pickup option.

2. Check the "In-Store Pickup" box.
