ASINs Overview

The Amazon Standard Identification Number (ASIN) is a 10-character alphanumeric unique identifier assigned by Amazon.com and its partners for product identification within the Amazon organization.  Every product that is sold on Amazon is assigned an ASIN.  CrystalCommerce gathers these and pairs them with products in our catalog so that they can be listed through our Amazon integration.

Please note that Amazon creates all ASINs, which CrystalCommerce gathers after the fact.  CrystalCommerce does not have the ability to create ASINs. We also do not have any control over creating or changing existing listings, images or how high the listings rank on Amazon.  This is all controlled on Amazon’s end, and to update or change this info, you will want to reach out to Amazon Support. CrystalCommerce gathers ASINs for product lines such as Magic, Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Board Games, etc.

To contact Amazon in order to have a Listing changed or updated, use the following steps:

  1. Log into Amazon seller central

2. Click on "Get Support" near the bottom of the page
3. In the panel that opens on the right, click "Contact Us" at the bottom
4. On the Contact us page, you can select the method in which you would prefer to communicate with Amazon

Once you edit a product and enter in an ASIN for it, that ASIN is permanently locked in.  The only way to change that ASIN associated to that product after that point is to delete and reimport it, then enter the new ASIN.

In case of duplicate listings, use these steps to request an ASIN merge:
