If you create custom line items and sell these via your POS, please be aware that you cannot find orders based on custom line items afterwards.

Use custom line items if you know you will keeping a record of them for your financial stats elsewhere.  In other instances, always consider creating a custom product for any products you cannot import from our catalog.
