Using coupons to offer a tiered loyalty rewards program for your customers

Using coupons, you can offer a tiered rewards program for your customers. To accomplish this, you will need to create a series of coupons that reward customers based on the amount that they have spent on your direct website in previous purchases.

Customer Rewards Program Basics

  • In general, this kind of customer appreciation program should offer gradually increasing rewards for those customers who have spent more in their purchasing history.

  • These coupons will all use the "Allow this coupon if customer has spent at least this amount" condition.

Example coupon parameters for a membership rewards level 1:

Coupon Code: Reward 1
Description: Customer Rewards Level 1
Auto Apply at Checkout: yes
Conditions: Allow this coupon if customer has spent at least this amount
Minimum Total Sales: $100
Maximum Total Sales: $199
Reward Customer With: <your reward goes here>

Example coupon parameters for a membership rewards level 2:

Coupon Code: Reward 2
Description: Customer Rewards Level 2
Auto Apply at Checkout: yes
Conditions: Allow this coupon if customer has spent at least this amount
Minimum Total Sales: $200
Maximum Total Sales: $299
